About Me

"There is only you and your camera. The limitations in your photography are in yourself, for what we see is what we are." ~ Ernst Haas

I am Tyler Guthrie, and I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. After moving around and exploring our diverse nation, I began to realize I was living in a photographers' paradise. As a result, I felt compelled to capture these landscapes I had previously taken for granted. I have always been drawn to waterfalls and the juxtaposition of strength and serenity that surrounds them. There is a complex yet simple peace that can be found in Mother Nature. My goal is to capture that simple complexity and bring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, and more, to you.

In 2010, I was introduced to the world of landscape photography. I was traveling a lot which sparked a desire to see places in a way that most people weren't. I wanted to find the peacefully complex places that were hidden in plain sight. I began my journey with a simple point and shoot camera and an iPhone. As time has passed, my passion to capture these places has grown along with my camera. In 2015, I bought a DSLR to complement my GoPro and ever evolving iPhone. I live in the perfect place to foster my passion, as it grows stronger and stronger every time I find a "new" place to witness the majesty of our beautiful world.
